An introductory study of music among the Kera
Use of music in festivals and village life
Funerals
Funerals involve music, but as yet I have only attended a Christian funeral, in which all the music came from a group of men singing church songs.
The Kera have funerals almost immediately after the person has died, but often there will be a later event where the dead are remembered and a meal is provided by the family. This occasion is called ve hage. For certain people, the agura will come to dance. They have specific dances and songs for such an occasion.
