An introductory study of music among the Kera

Abstract
This article provides a brief survey of the music of the Kera people of southern Chad, including their instruments, the use of music in the culture and in the church, and the characteristic features that make up Kera music. It is an introduction to the subject after only eight weeks of observation in the area, centered mainly around the village of Torpor, a village to the south of Fianga in the Mayo-Kebbi region of Chad.
